There are those who refute my claim in this series that
ocean levels could stably rise 10 feet and, temporarily, by thirty. Think
again. Loss of ice shelf stability is the first step in destabilization of
glaciers that feed into them. In this case, the Pine Island Glacier has reached
a tipping point which could lead to a 10-16 foot rise in sea levels in the next
two decades, right in line with the GAMELAND timeline.
