Four More Titles Now Available on Smashwords

Now that my time on KDP Select is expiring on several of my titles, I've decided to go back to offering them through Smashwords again and it's distribution partners. I've had a lot of people tell me they'd love to get the books but they haven't been available for ereaders other than Kindle (and, let's face it, nobody likes reading books on a laptop or desktop computer). I still have a few titles enrolled in KDP-S for a little while longer, but have decided the whole exclusivity thing is not worth it for the most part.

Rolling Back to Move Forward: Taking a Page from Walmart's Playbook

So, I was in Walmart the other day checking out the new Lego Batman game for my son, when an Associate comes over and changes the price on another game. I think the correct term is "roll back."  We'd been looking at the game for a while but on the fence about buying it. The price wasn't bad; the game looked good, but it was from a gamemaker we'd not tried before. And, you know, you just never know. I'd been burned before. Well, the savings was for 5 dollars off the regular price of $19.99. Pretty substantial. Hard to resist.

3 Billion Words? Try 100 Billion or more

Just two weeks ago, Smashwords announced they had published three billion words. How big is 3 billion? Think of it this way: if you started at 1 and counted each second until you got to 3 billion, you'd still be counting ninety years from now.
